CONTRACTOR JOB SUMMARY: Program Evaluator (K-12 Education Programs)

Contractor Location: EduMatrix will only hire Contractors that reside in the following Florida counties – Orange, Hillsborough, Polk, Osceola, Manatee, Hardee. This is due to the travel time that it will take to travel to client sites that are necessary for this specific contract.

Contractor Job Summary: EduMatrix is currently seeking a reliable, skilled, and experienced K-12th grade education program evaluator Contractor to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional quality program evaluation work alongside a team of highly-skilled education professionals. Education: Master’s degree or higher with experience in education program evaluation or working with educational institutions is preferred.

Work Experience: Experience in education program evaluation, working with education programs, grant work or similar work is preferred.

Job Location: Remote – (1) Work from home to type site evaluation reports after each program evaluation site visit; (2) Conduct program evaluations at multiple educational facilities throughout Florida that serve K-12th grade students.

Contractor Pay Rate: Contractor will receive $250 per site visit and site visit report (combined). The site visit report is included in the $250. Approximately 18 site visits will need to take place between January 15, 2018 and April 19, 2018.

Site Visit Hours: Contractor will conduct site visits at education institutions during their K-12th grade after school education programs. These programs begin as early as 1:30pm and end as late as 6:30pm Monday – Thursday in various counties in Florida. THE CONTRACTOR MUST HAVE A COMPLETELY OPEN SCHEDULE WITH NO OTHER COMMITMENTS BETWEEN 12:00PM AND 8:00PM ON THE DAYS THAT THEY CHOOSE TO CONDUCT SITE VISITS. THIS TIMEFRAME ALLOWS THE CONTRACTOR TO FACTOR IN TRAVEL TIME TO AND FROM THE DESTINATION. Please Note: The Contractor must also schedule time during the week, or on weekends, to type the site visit report that states the findings of each site visit. This report for each site must be submitted within one week of the site visit taking place in order to stay in contract compliance. This is a brief report that takes about 30-45 minutes to complete and a report template will be provided.

Contract Dates: Contractors can choose which days they would like to conduct each site visit (Monday-Thursday), however, the site visit dates must fall within the contract schedule. The site visit contract schedule will start January 15, 2018 and end April 19, 2018 (initial contract that will include approximately 18 site visits) .* No site visits will take place over the summer when K-12th grade schools are out of session. After the summer months, the *site visit contract schedule will start over on October 2, 2018 and end on April 19, 2019 (longer contract that will include approximately 36 site visits during that time frame) .

Transportation: Contractor must have very reliable transportation and be able to drive to and from each client location. Contractor will be responsible for all costs associated with transportation, gas, mileage, etc. EduMatrix is not responsible for providing the Contractor with transportation and is not responsible for paying the Contractor for additional costs associated with transportation.

Travel Requirement: Heavy travel required to various client locations in Florida to conduct program evaluations.

Contractor Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Travel to approximately 18 educational institutions throughout Florida (north, central and south regions depending on the client location) to conduct on-site program evaluations of K-12th grade education grant programs that are currently being implemented.
  • Interview client staff members in person with scripted questions during site visits. Ask additional questions as it relates to the grant requirements when needed.
  • Arrange or participate in client meetings (on the day of the site visit) when required or needed at the client site regarding program goals and outcomes.
  • Assemble focus groups (on the day of the site visit) and/or collect qualitative data using necessary methods.
  • Read each client’s grant and become familiar with each grant program’s requirements and expectations.
  • Enforce grant requirements.
  • Assist in the development of an action plan to help clients meet grant goals and objectives.
  • Type a site visit follow-up report after each site visit.
  • Complete other evaluation site visit related duties as assigned.
